Ha Giang City is the northernmost province of Vietnam. It is about 320 kilometers from Hanoi. About half of the province is low land, and the remaining half is either mountainous or having a high plateau. Most places have stunning landscapes, which when combined with the colorful locals and brilliant blossom seasons makes for a fantastic vacation destination.

This is a fantastic chance to take four days to enjoy the scenic vistas and the local ethnic culture while staying the night in local homestays and indulging in Vietnamese food along the way.

Over the course of four days, you will travel to famous locations with breath-taking scenery including Dong Van, Meo Vac, and the dizzying Ma Pi Leng pass in the province of Ha Giang. You will also learn about the vibrant local markets of the ethnic minority populations.

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Quan Ba (L/D)

You’ll depart Hanoi early in the morning and go to Ha Giang. The farthest province to the north, Ha Giang, is home to numerous ethnic minority groups. You will stop at the 15th-century remnants of Tuyen Quang’s Mac Dynasty Citadel en route.

A nearby restaurant will offer lunch.

If you continue to travel farther north in Vietnam, you will eventually arrive to a hilly region where you can travel on a meandering single road and take in the breathtaking scenery.

After dinner, spend the night in Quan Ba.

Day 2: Quan Ba -Yen Minh – Dong Van – Meo Vac (B/ L/ _)

Quan Ba, Yen Minh, and Dong Van town are the next stops on our journey today, along with some of the most scenic villages and solitary homes on undulating hills. The wide limestone mountain range is captured in numerous photographs by the winding road, which seems to be going nonstop.

You will go to the Vuong palace, which was once the residence of a prominent H’mong family. The palace’s architecture blends European and Chinese design elements and has been carefully preserved to this day.

You can get to Ma Pi Leng Pass, the most magnificent road with a panoramic view of towering mountains reaching the sky and the Nho Que river at the bottom, in about an hour from Dong Van town. After arriving late in the day, spend the night at Meo Vac.

Day 3: Meo Vac – Lung Cu – Dong Van – Ha Giang 

You will resume your drive over Ma Pi Leng pass after breakfast. You will travel to Lung Cu, which is located in the far north of Vietnam. You can see China and the border region from here.

Not to be missed is Sung La village, which was used as the setting for a Vietnam-based movie.

Then you’ll travel to the H’mong minority’s Lung Tam village to discover how they create their distinctive fabrics. The tour in Dong Van town will show you the wonderful ancient street close to the market.

After that, you’ll spend the night in Ha Giang.

 

Day 4: Ha Giang – Hanoi

The tour guide takes you to the Tha village in the city of Ha Giang. With a typical stilt house constructed of wood and bamboo and a palm-thatched roof on rice fields, the hamlet setting is like something out of a picture.

After that, you will return to Hanoi while having lunch along the way.

In Hanoi, this tour of Ha Giang concludes. Until we meet again on future travels to Vietnam.

PRICE POLICY FOR CHILDREN 

  • Free for children aged 1-4 (their parents must pay for all their other fees and 1 to 4-year-old children do not have their own seats in the car).
  • Children aged 5 to 9 will be charged 75% of the tour cost (they will have their own seats in our car and their own meals, but they have to share the hotel room with their parents).
  •  Children who are older than 9 are regarded as adults.

  • Booking confirmation will be received at that time. Back-problem travelers should avoid this.
